Re Alloys became the strategic sponsor of Mateusz Siodłoczek, the Polish Representative in World Junior Gliding Championship 2015 in Narromine, Australia.
Mateusz Siodłoczek is a national team competitor and a member of the Flying Club of the Rybnik Coal District. His adventure with flying started when he was 13. He already knew that flying would be an important part of his life. In 2007 at the age of 17, he obtained gliding licence, and in 2011 – the pilot licence. This is how fascination developed into the way of life. Mateusz took up the challenge which was the flight of 1 000 km. The flight lasted 9 hours and 20 minutes! It lacked a little to cross the magical barrier of 1 000 km- the final distance was 920 km, which is one of the longest distance covered in Poland in the gliding history.
Despite the young age, Mateusz Siodłoczek has numerous achievements, the greatest are:
• 1st place at World Junior Championship 2013 (team ranking),
• 5th place at World Junior Championship 2013 (Club class),
• 1st place at Polish Championship 2013 (Standard class),
• 1st place in Gliding Pilots Ranking in junior classification, 2013 and 2014
World Junior Gliding Championship 2015 in Australia starts on 1st December 2015. The time is limited, that is why intensive trainings start in March.
We keep our fingers crossed for his success!
